St. Dominic High School students return from Haiti visit
Principal Gianne de Weever and five students from “St. Dominic's Heart for Haiti program” visited the club and presented a summary of their visit.
In June our club donated funds for these students to spend two weeks of their summer vacation volunteering at an orphanage in Haiti. Students assembled a computer lab for the orphans, taught them English and craft-making skills. Each student came back with a greater appreciation and thankfulness for the basics of life. Heaven only knows what benefits were brought to those orphans in Haiti.
This was a fabulous project and learning experience.
